Damascus Steel Blade

Steel composition: U8A, ShKh-15, 5KhNMA, 45 steel
Hardness: 60–62 HRC

This hand-forged blade is made using forge-welded Damascus steel, combining four types of steel, each contributing unique properties:

  • U8A – high-carbon tool steel with excellent edge retention and hardness.

  • ShKh-15 – bearing steel known for its outstanding wear resistance.

  • 5KhNMA – alloy steel rich in chromium, nickel, and molybdenum, offering extra strength and corrosion resistance.

  • 45 steel – a structural carbon steel that acts as a binding layer within the Damascus billet.

The distinctive Damascus pattern is created through multiple forging cycles, resulting in a one-of-a-kind texture and visual depth that only handcrafted blades possess.

Usage: Ideal for making kitchen, outdoor, or hunting knives. A perfect choice for custom knife makers and collectors.
